Laura’s Legal Administrative Assistant:
Laura is a lawyer in the Community Law Program at CLAS, and works primarily in the areas of disability rights, mental health, and human rights.
Before attending law school Laura worked at a non-profit legal resource centre primarily assisting people with mental and physical disabilities. During law school Laura participated in several pro-bono projects, including two interventions at the Supreme Court of Canada for non-profit groups such as the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies, and the Native Women's Association of Canada. Before coming to CLAS Laura worked for the Poverty and Human Rights Centre and the Feminist Alliance for International Action and clerked at the British Columbia Supreme Court.
