Biography

Josh joined the Mental Health Law Program at CLAS in 2012. In 2013 he began working as an advocate. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a community mental health worker at Coast Mental Health Foundation in a supportive housing project for one year and continued on a casual basis until 2013. The part of the career that Josh enjoys the most is interacting with clients and providing support in an individual’s access to their legal rights.

Josh graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 2010. During his last semester, he completed a summer practicum with the Mental Health Law Program working with clients and staff under both Criminal Code and Civil jurisdiction. He also participated as a legal information counsellor at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital and Riverview Hospital during the practicum, for which he continues to provide coverage today.
