Jane Dyson

Jane has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years and was the Executive Director of Disability Alliance BC (DABC) for nearly ten years before retiring in 2018. She joined the CLAS Board in 2017 and became Board Chair in 2020.

She has participated on a range of advisory committees including those for TransLink, BC Hydro, ICBC, Vancouver Transit Police, Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction’s Advisory Forum on Poverty Reduction, Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) Action Group, Vancouver Foundation’s Disability Supports for Employment Advisory Committee, and the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition. She is a former board member of Plan Institute, and the Nidus Personal Planning Resource Centre and Registry.

Jane has a Master’s Degree in Political Science. She is currently Chair of ICBC’s Injury Recovery Design Panel, and a board member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. In 2015 Jane was awarded the Order of BC for her advocacy and community engagement work.
